Originally called Porto Central Station, São Bento Railway Station dates from 1893 and it’s majorly famous for the tile panels on the inside. These azulejo masterpieces consist of 22 thousand tiles and depict a range of historical scenes from the North of Portugal – work of Jorge Colaço (1868-1942).
